WHEREAs, the City of C\Jpertino j,n santa Clara Q:Junty has heretofore
passed Resolution No. 8184 callinq for a special municipal election to be
held ~ NOIIember 6, 1990; arxi
WHEREAs, the State of California election will be held on 'lUesrJaY,
NOIIember 6, 1990, arxi it is the desire of the Cooncil that said special
municipal election be oansoliclated with said state election;
NCM, 'lHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Cooncil of the City of
CI.1pert:ino hereby declares the followinq:
1. 'Ihe Board of Supervisors of the OJunty is hereby requested to order
the oansoliclation of said cpecial election with said State Election to
be held on 'l\Jesday, NOIIember 6, l!l90, insofar as the City is
concemed, arxi to further provide that within the teJ:ritoJ:y affected
a.l said order of oansoliclation, to wit, the City, the election
precincts, pollin:¡ places arxJ. votinq booths shall be in fNery case the
sæoo, arxJ. there shall be only one set of election officer.> j,n each cf
said precincts. Said:measures as adopted by Council shall be set
forth in each fODD of ballot to be used at said election insofm: as
the sæoo is held within the City. 'Ihe Board of Supervisors ':Jf the
OJunty is further requested to order the Regis~ of Voters of the
OJunty (a) to set forth on all sanple ballots relatinq to said
consollclated election, to be mailed to the qualified electors of the
City, said:measures set forth, arxJ. to mail with said sanple ballots to
said electors prj,nted copies of arguments (if any) for arxJ. against
said measures arxi rebuttals (if any), as well as an .Îlt1partÜ.l analysis
prepared by the City Attorney, arrl (b) to provide absent voter ballots
for said special election consoliclated with said State election for
use by qualified el"C'''-ors of the City who are entitled thereto in the
lranner prescribed by ldw.
2. 'Ihe Registrar of Vote.."'S of the County is further authorized co
