Candidate Statement of: Albert C. Chu
Occupation: Aerospace Engineer
Graduated from Cal Poly University with a Bachelor of
Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (ME). Attended Santa
Clara and Stanford Universities for graduate studies in ME and
Aerospace Engineering. Currently, working at Lockheed Martin in
aerospace programs resolving technical issues in system reliability
and safety.
Serving as the NorCal Referee Representative (Board of
Directors) in managing referees by providing them with educations
and leadership. Volunteered to provide mentoring/guidance and
coaching for inexperienced referees and youth soccer players in
Northern California. Volunteered to serve as a School Site
Council member at Monta Vista High School and has provided
recommendations and resolutions to a number of school issues.
My qualifications are based on my conservative belief that
practicing honesty and trust with people are critical in building
positive and strong relationships. Being a family man with a wife
and three children, I take pride by conducting myself with the
highest degree of morality and commitment. As a city council
member, I'll do my best to improve the quality of living and the
safety of our residents in Cupertino for generations to come.
