The attachments to this email are in order as follows with some statements and questions: 1. The City’s All-Inclusive Playground webpage as PDF. a. This includes a Paypal donate button for individuals to donate, but without much information about what the donation would cover, how much has been donated, is there a donor plaque, and if the donation is tax-deductible. 2. A Fundraising contract which has been paid in full to Netzel-Grigsby for this playground fundraising. a. This fundraising effort provided how much funding? The cost was approximately $33,000. 3. The last attachment is two pages of the current FY 23 Budget which is for extra hours for the Cupertino Library which the City has had funded through the SCCLD JPA since 2019 and therefore does not appear to need to be committed to the Library Services, thus potentially freeing $600k which could be reallocated to this item 8 funding request if that is feasible. Can this money be reallocated? The paragraphs below are from the City of Cupertino’s Jollyman All-Inclusive Playground webpage found here: https://www.cupertino.org/our-city/departments/public-works/capital-improvement-program- projects/all-inclusive-playground-at-jollyman-park “The City of Cupertino is moving forward with design and construction of an All-Inclusive Playground at Jollyman Park funded through Santa Clara County All-Inclusive Playground Grant (AIPG) program. In October 2018, City Council authorized staff to submit an application to the County’s AIPG grant program, requesting funds for an all- inclusive playground at Jollyman Park. The Board of Supervisors authorized a grant award to Cupertino for $1,448,201 with a City match contribution. The balance of the project cost would be provided through fundraising and donations. The City of Cupertino conducted a Feasibility Study on potential park sites and thoroughly evaluated each one. Results were presented to the Parks and Recreation Commission and concluded that Jollyman Park was the 1st choice. The Commission endorsed this finding.” Donate with PayPal button Regards, Kitty Moore Kitty Moore Councilmember City Council Kmoore@cupertino.org (408) 777-1389
