years and I am not a party to or interested in the above entitled
matter. I am the Legal Advertising Clerk of the printer and
publisher of the Cupertino Courier, a newspaper published in the
English language in the City of Cupertino, County of Santa Clara,
State of California.

LEGAL NOTICE OF REGULAR PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO, CALIFORNIA, on February 1, 2022, at 6:45
p.m. is hereby given. The following application(s) for action by the City

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at its meeting of Tuesday, February 1,
2022 at 6:45 p.m., the City of Cupertino City Council will conduct a pub-
lic hearing to consider an additional citywide Interim and Urgency Or-
dinance extending Urgency Ordinance No. 21-2235: "AN ORDINANCE OF
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO ADDING OR AMENDING
CUPERTINO MUNCIPAL CODE SECTIONS 18.20.170, 19.08.030, 19.12.030,
19.12.110, 19.28.040, 19.28.050, 19.28.110, 19.28.150, 19.28.170, 19.40.050,
19.40.060, 19.40.090, AND 19.112.060 TO ADOPT STANDARDS FOR MINIS-
TERIAL APPROVAL OF DUPLEXES AND LOT SPLITS IN SINGLE-FAMILY
RESIDENCE DISTRICTS" This additional Interim and Urgency ordinance
will extend the regulations for properties wishing to utilize the provi-
sions of Senate Bill 9 to streamline urban lot splits and the develop-
ment of up to two units on single family zoned properties as adopted
by the City Council on December 21, 2021 with adoption of Ordinance
No. 21-2235. Staff will bring forward a regular ordinance upon further
outreach and input from the Planning Commission. In the interim, twill
be necessary to extend the existing urgency ordinance to facilitate the
orderly adoption of zoning code amendments, as permitted by law. In
accordance with Government Code 54953(e), this will be a teleconfer-
ence meeting without a physical location to help stop the spread of
COVID-19. Members of the public will be able to observe and address
the meeting telephonically or otherwise electronically from the City's
website through procedures that will be detailed in the published
meeting agenda.
Environmental Recommendation: Exempt
The proposed ordinance is exempt from the California Environmental
Quality Act under Government Code sections 66411.7(n) and 65852.2(j).
If you wish to challenge the City Council's action in court, you may be
limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the
public hearing described in this notice, or in written or electronic corre-
spondence delivered to the City of Cupertino City Hall 10300 Torre Ave-
nue, Cupertino, CA 95014 at, or prior to, the meeting. Persons needing
special assistance to attend the meeting under the Americans with Dis-
abilities Act should email cityclerk@cupe_rtino.org or call 408-777-3200
at least 48 hours prior to the public meetings to ensure their needs can
be appropriately accommodated. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please be ad-
vised that pursuant to Cupertino Municipal Code section 2.08.100 writ-
ten communications sent to the Cupertino City Council, Commissioners
or City staff concerning a matter on the agenda are included as supple-
mental material to the agendized item. These written communications
