NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
BIRD SAFE AND DARK SKY REGULATIONS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at its meeting of
Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 6:45 p.m., the
Cupertino City Council will consider a Munici-
pal Code Amendment to adopt changes to the
Cupertino Municipal Code to adopt Bird Safe
and Dark Sky regulations by adopting a new
Chapter, Chapter 19.102: Glass and Lighting.
The Council also has the option of conducting
a second reading of Ordinance No.20-2219 to
adopt Bird Safe regulations in a new Chapter
in the Municipal Code. Environmental Recom-
mendation: Exempt (Guidelines Section 15308,
15301, 15301 and 15061(b)(3)). In accordance
with Governor Newsom's Executive Order No-
29-20, this will be a teleconference meeting
without a physical location. Members of the
public will be able to observe and address the
meeting telephonically or otherwise electron-
ically from the City's website through proce-
dures that will be detailed in the published
meeting agenda. If you wish to challenge the
City Council's action in court, you may be limit-
ed to raising only those issues you or someone
else raised at the public hearing described in
this notice, or in written or electronic corre-
spondence delivered to the City of Cupertino
