RENEWAL OF EXISTING (1992) STORM DRAIN FEES AND RENEWAL OF 2019 CLEAN WATER AND
STORM PROTECTION FEE FOR FY 2021-2022
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at its meeting of Tuesday, June 1, 2021, the Cupertino City Council
will conduct a public hearing to consider:
1. Approve renewal of existing (1992) storm drain fees collected on property tax bills for each
parcel at no increase in rates for FY 2021-2022: $12/Single family parcel, $144/acre for
commercial/apartments/industrial parcels, $36/acre for unimproved parcels.
2. Approve renewal of 2019-approved Clean Water and Storm Protection Fee calculated for each
parceI and collected on property tax bills or billed directly for any parcels that cannot be col-
on County tax bills, at no increase in rates for FY 2021-2022.
Current rates for the Clean Water and Storm Protection Fee are shown in the table below.

Pursuant to the voter -approved consumer price index (CPI) allowable annual increase, the
Clean Water and Storm Protection fee can be increased by the amount of the annual increase in
the consumer price index, but only up to a 3% CPI increase in any single year. The CPI change
for the period December 2019 to December 2020 was 2.0%. Adjustments will only occur if actual
additional costs are incurred. After a review of costs, the recommended action is no increase in
rates.
In accordance with Governor Newsom's Executive Order No-29.20, this will be a teleconfer-
ence meeting without a physical location. Members of the public will be able to observe and
address the meeting telephonically or otherwise electronically from the City's website
through procedures that will be detailed in the published meeting agenda. Council meets at

City Council's action in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone
else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written or electronic correspond-

prior to, the public hearing. Persons needing special assistance to attend the meeting under the
Americans with Disabilities Act should call 408-777-3200 at least 48 hours prior to the public
