at all times hereinafter mentioned affiant was and still is a citizen
of the United States, over the age of eighteen years, and not a
party to or interested in the above entitled proceedings; and was
at and during all said times and still is the principal clerk of the
printer and publisher of the San Jose Mercury News, a newspaper
of general circulation printed and published daily in the City of San
Jose, County of Santa Clara, State of California as determined by
the court's decree dated June 27, 1952, Case Numbers 84096
and 84097, and that said San Jose Mercury News is and was at
all times herein mentioned a newspaper of general circulation as
that term is defined by Sections 6000; that at all times said

SECOND READING ORDINANCE NO.21-2227
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at its regular
meeting of Tuesday, June 1, 2021, the
Cupertino City Council conducted the second
reading of Ordinance No. 21-2227: "An Ordi-
nance of the City Council of the City of
Cupertino amending City Code Chapter 10.90
of Title 10 (Public Peace, Safety, and Morals) to
prohibit smoking in multi -unit housing and cer-
tain outdoor areas," with multi -unit housing
/residence defined for the purposes of this Or-
dinance to include attached single family
homes and other property containing two or
more attached units, which includes a finding
that adoption of the ordinance is exempt from
the California Environmental Quality Act. Ayes:
Paul, Chao, Moore, Wei and Willey. Noes: None.
Abstain: None. Absent: None. This ordinance
was enacted and will go into effect thirty (30)
days from that date. Complete copies may be
requested by contacting the City Clerk's office
by email at cityclerka'Cupertino.org or by tele-
phone at 408-777-3223. If you wish to challenge
the City Council's action in court, you may be
limited to raising only those issues you or
someone else raised at the public hearing de-
scribed in this notice, or in written or electron-
ic correspondence delivered to the City of
Cupertino City Hall at, or prior to, the meeting.
