NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PROPOSED APPROVAL OF NEXUS STUDY AND
UPDATE OF TRANSPORTATION IMPACT FEES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at its meeting of Tuesday, November 17,
2020 at 6:45 p.m., the Cupertino City Council will hold a public hearing
to consider approving the City of Cupertino 2020 Transportation Impact
Fee Nexus Study Update, increasing the City's Transportation Impact
Fees, and amending Schedule B of the City's 2020-21 Fee Schedule to in-
corporate the increased fees. To comply with emergency health orders
to reduce the spread of COVID-19, the November 17, 2020 meeting will
be a teleconference meeting held in accordance with Governor
Newsom's Executive Order No-29-20 at a teleconference and virtual lo-
cation specified in the agenda for the meeting to be posted at https://
www.cupertino.org/our-city/agendas-minutes. The City's Transporta-
tion Impact Fee (TIF) Program, initiated in 2017, requires the sponsors
of development projects to help fund roadway improvements needed
to mitigate traffic impacts oftheir development projects. At the public
hearing, the City Council will consider adopting a resolution that would
accept a study prepared by the City's independent transportation con-
sultants recommending that the transportation impact fees currently
charged by the City should be increased to account for increased costs
for construction of transportation infrastructure and the need to fund
new transportation projects that were not considered in 2017 when the
City initially established the TIF Program.
