Dear Mr. Tepman:
In accordance with your authorization, Pollak Engineering, Inc. has conducted
construction observation services for the subject project. Provided herein is our
summary of the site foundation and drainage operations for the subject
construction. Our final site visit occurred on 24 December 2023.
1. All pier holes encountered competent native material and were drilled in
accordance with project geotechnical requirements and the referenced
construction plans.
2. Over steepened fill soil has been placed on the slope face in the area of the
new piers.
Some over steepened fill soil remains on the slope western portion of the
slope face.
4. Drainage inlets are elevated and mounted on the slope face making them
unlikely to catch water.
I declare that all work for which I have professional responsibility, performed
during the grading and foundation operations described in this report, was done
in accordance with the current standard of care in the geotechnical industry, and
in accordance with the approved plans and specifications. I have personally
performed field operations, and believe the grading and foundation operations
were correct to the best of my knowledge and belief.
