RESOLUTION NO, 8078
A RESOIUI'ION OF 'IHE CITY CXXJNCIL OF 'IHE CITY OF CIJPERl'INO
lliCRFASING WATER RATES AND AOOPI'ING INVERI'ED lWΠSTRUCIURE
WHEREAS, the City CclID::il of the city of CUpertino has con:lucted a
hearirq to consider raisirq the water rates; and
WHEREAS, it has been detemined that a 10% rate increase is l'\I"œSi:'ary
to offset loss of revenue due to the drought an::l conservation program; and
WHEREAS, water costs fran the Santa Clara Valley Water District are
beirq increased due to its loss of revenue because of, the drought program;
an::l .
WHEREAS, the City II1I.lSt initiate a drought program for calendar year
1990; an::l
WHEREAS, water conservation will continue to be encouraged even after
the drought program is over;
NOW, 'IHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that:
1. The City of CUpertino hereby institutes an inverted rate
structure to act as the City's program, and said rate structure
shall continue thereafter.
