ROLL CALL Present: Biswari, Chen, Garg (6:03 p.m.), Lau, Liu, Misra, Mukherjee, Su. Absent: None. Staff: Sonya Lee, Kayla Nakamoto, Birgit Werner. CEREMONIAL MATTERS AND PRESENTATIONS Chair Biswari reordered the presentations for the evening. Presentations were presented in the order of Item 3, Item 2, and Item 1. 1. Subject: Big Bunny 5K and Kids Fun Run and Spring Community Festivals Presentation Recommended Action: Receive a presentation on Big Bunny 5K and Kids Fun Run and Spring Community Festivals from Recreation Coordinator, Christina Lopez. Commissioners received a presentation on Festivals and Special Events from Sonya Lee, Recreation Manager. 2. Subject: Golf Events and Earth Day Festival Presentation Recommended Action: Receive a presentation on upcoming Golf Events and the Earth Day Festival from Recreation Coordinator, Kayla Nakamoto. Commissioners received a presentation on Golf Events and the Earth Day Festival from Kayla Nakamoto, Recreation Coordinator. 3. Subject: Streetlight Banner Art Contest and Safe Routes to School Program Presentation Recommended Action: Receive a presentation on the Streetlight Banner Art Contest and Safe Routes to School Program from School Coordinator, Birgit Werner. 6 Cupertino Teen Commission Minutes February 12, 2025 Commissioners received a presentation on Cupertino Safe Routes to School from Program Coordinator, Birgit Werner. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 4. Subject: Approval of Minutes – January 8, 2025 Recommended Action: Review and approve the minutes from the Teen Commission meeting on January 8, 2025. Vice Chair Chen moved to approve the January meeting minutes as submitted. Commissioner Garg seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. POSTPONEMENTS No postponements. Subject: Commissioner Assignment Events and Festivals Recommended Action: Choose Commissioner assignments for events and festivals. Big Bunny 5K MC – Chair Biswari and Commissioner Lau volunteered. Teen Resource Fair – All commissioners with the exception of Commissioner Lau are available. Commissioner Misra is only available for the first shift. Earth Day MC – Commissioner Misra, Commissioner Liu, and Chair Biswari volunteered. 7 Cupertino Teen Commission Minutes February 12, 2025 HACK Cupertino Judges and Mentors – Commissioner Mukherjee, Commissioner Su, Commissioner Misra, and Commissioner Garg volunteered. Teen Coordinator, Robert Kaufman, will verify and schedule commissioners. STAFF AND COMMISSION REPORTS • Staff Updates o Sonya Lee gave the Staff Report.  Recognized Commissioner Mukherjee and Commissioner Su for their role with the Youth Spelling Bee. Commissioner Mukherjee moderated the event and Commissioner Su was part of the judges panel. • Commissioner Updates o No updates. FUTURE AGENDA SETTING No future agenda items were added.
