Meeting Minutes
1. WELCOME AND INTRODUCTIONS
Councilmember Dolly Sandoval called the meeting to order in the Valko Training
Center, 10101 N. Wolfe Road, Cupertino and introduced Robyn King as the new part-
time staff member to assist with OES volunteer opportunities and community outreach.

3. COMMITTEE REPORTS

4. NEW BUSINESS
A. Dam Evacuation
John Hirokawa reviewed the draft Dam Evacuation Plan and phone tree. He
requested input ITom the committee regarding any additional information that
should be included.
B. pro Emergency Plan
Rick Kitson distributed the Disaster Council representative list and requested that
members update their information and include their cell provider's name so that
text messaging could be used as another means of communication during an
emergency.
C. CUSD Emergency Response Plan
Toby Smith reviewed the emergency plan that was developed for CUSD and
indicated the response elements that were completed with grant funds.

D. Public Works Emergency Response Plan
Glenn Goepfert reviewed the role that the Public Works Department would have
during an emergency.
E. LAGCO Emergency Response Plan
John Candal and Lance Parsons that Los Altos Garbage Company would be well
prepared to assist during an emergency. They indicated that many of their
employees live in the area and could be available to report to work soon after and
emergency occurs.
F. Pandemic Flu Strategic Plan Update
Marsha Hovey presented a brief update on pandemic flu strategic planning.
