Summary Vacation 21831 Hermosa_Supplemental Report CITY COUNCIL STAFF REPORT SUPPLEMENTAL 1 Meeting: May 20, 2025 Agenda Item #16 Subject Summary Vacation of a Portion of Street Along 21831 Hermosa Avenue Recommended Action Adopt Resolution No. 25-034 summarily vacating a portion of street along 21831 Hermosa Avenue Background: Staff’s responses to questions received from councilmembers are shown in italics. Q1: The staff report states "Staff verified the previous dedication and informed the owners that the City’s Monta Vista Specific Plan requires a 50’ wide right- of-way along Hermosa Avenue to facilitate future street improvements, including the installation of new curb, gutter, and sidewalk." So, the applicant will install new curb, gutter and sidewalk along the new border line? Staff response: The applicant is in the preliminary design phase for a proposed addition and remodel project. As part of their development project, the applicant will be required to install new curb, gutter and sidewalk along their property frontage.
