Jennifer Griffin noted that the Heat of the City was first developed in the 1990s. She said she believed the protection of the Stevens Creek Boulevard Corridor was very important to the community and a strong Heart of the City plan was needed. She said that this plan should not allow street parking, not allow t:he creation of vertical canyons, and allow for the double row of trees. Tom Hugunin commented that the original ;plan called for minimal modifications. He said that the documents now before Council were very confusing and he supported a minimal modification plan. Keith Murphy said he believed that 340 pages of changes were too much and confusing for the public to follow. He said he did riot support a specific to conceptual plan and noted that in the 1990s the people wanted a specific plan but not 340 pages worth.
