This letter confirms the decision of the Design Review Committee, given at the meeting of
Tune 6, 2001, approving an architectural and site approval for an approximately 2,300 square
foot addition to an existing church, according to Iaesign Review Resolution Na. 51.
Please be aware that if this permit is not used within two years, it shall expire on
June 6, 2003.
Also note that an appeal of this decision can be made within 14 calendar days of the decision. 1f
this occurs, you will be notified of a public hearing which will. be scheduled before the City
Council.

SECTIC7N II: FINDINGS
WHEREAS, the Design Review Committee of the City of Cupertino received an application for an
Architectural and Site Approval., as described in this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, the Design Review Committee finds that the changes are beneficial and compatible with
the surrounding area;
1. TIYe proposal, at the proposed location, will not be detrimental or injurious to property or
improvements in the vicinity, and will not be detrimental to the public health, safety, general
welfare, or convenience;
2. The proposal. is consistent with the purposes of the zoning ordinance, and the General Plan, as new
restaurant will occupy a building historically used as a restaurant in a commezcial center.
3. The design will not result in abrupt changes in building scale between tl7e subject site and
neighboring properties, as tl~.e project does not propose significant exterior changes.
4. Tl~e proposal will use materials that compliment neighboring structures, as t11e proposal does not
propose significant exterior changes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
That after careful consideration of maps, facts, exhibits, testimony and other evidence submitted in this
matter, the application no. 13-ASA-01, is here by approved; and
`T'hat the subconclusions upon which the findings and conditions specified in this Resol~utian are based
and contained in tl~e public hearing record concerning Application 13-ASA-01 as set forth in the
Minutes of the Design Review Committee Meeting of June 6, 2001, and are incorporated by reference

SECTION III: CONDITIONS ADMINISTERED BY THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPT.
APPROVED EXHIBITS
Approval is based on the Material & Colors Board and the plan set entitled Abundant Life
Assembly of God Church dated 9/12J00, as amended by this resolution.
2. LANDSCAPING
A plan for additional. landscaping and. irrigation on the north. property line and parking lot planter,
at least six new tree wells in the front parking; lot and a double row of trees on either side of the
front sidewalk, shall be approved by staff as part of the building permit and shall be installed prior
to occupancy.
3. NOTICE OF FEES DEDICATIONS RESERVATIONS OR OTHER EXACTIONS
The Conditions of Project Approval set forth herein may include certain. fees, dedication
requirements, reservation requirements, and other exactions. Pursuant to Gowe~•nrnent Code
Section 6~020(d~ (I), these Conditions constitute written notice of a statement of the amount of
such. fees, and a description of the deciir;ations, reservations, and other exactions. You are hereby
further notified that the 90-day approval period in which you play protest these fees, dedications,
reservations, and other exactions, pursuant to Government Code Section. 6E020(a), has begun. If
you fail to file a protest within this 90-day period complying with all of the requirements of Section
hG02p, you will be legally barred from later challenging such exactions.
