Cowan, Director of Community Development tsc- Date: September 29, 1998 Subj: Minor Modification of 9-U-75 to allow modification of a vacant bank building and site to remove an automatic teller window, a drive-up window and a drive-through lane, and to add parking at 19450 Stevens Creek Boulevard, easterly of the southeast corner of Miller Avenue and Stevens Creek Boulevard. ---------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 19.132 ofthe Cupertino Municipal Code allows for administrative approval of minor changes to a project. The Director reports his decision to the City Council and Planning Commission in time to allow any Councilmember or Planning Commissioner to appeal the decision within fourteen calendar days. Application: Minor Modification of 9-U-75 to allow modification of a vacant bank building and site to remove an automatic teller window, a drive-up window and a drive-through lane, and to add parking at 19450 Stevens Creek Boulevard Description: The Home Federal Savings bank building has been vacant for several years. The applicant, Steve Yang, is proposing building and site changes to convert it to a multi- tenant, commercial office building. The exterior changes proposed are: 1) closure of the walk-up automatic teller window, 2) closure of the drive-up service window, and 3) conversion of the drive-through lane to additional parking. The changes to the site and building will occur on the side and rear, not affecting the front facade. The building changes will match existing materials and colors. The drive-through conversion will increase the parking total to 58 spaces which exceeds the City parking requirement of 43 spaces (12,360 sq.ft.l285 sq. ft. per stall). Action: The Director of Community Development deems the modification minor and approves the changes. This approval of the modification is effective September 29, 1998. The fourteen calendar day appeal period will expire on October 13, 1998.
