The services provided include the following: 1. Renresent.ation of and advice to the Council, City Boards and Commissions City officials in legal matters murticipal government. This includes: a. Attersdance as City Council meetings, except study sessions; unless excusod by the Mayor and Council; b. Alicndance at'I'lartrting Commission meetings; c. Consultation with. the City Manager and Departrnenl Heads or authorized representatives; d. Telephone and correspondence with mernbexs of the public and press; e. Preparation and review of all proposed ordinances, resalutions, contracts, and other documents pertaining to the City's btr.5iness; t. Cade enforcement, including litigation. B. The fee for these services is $20,750 per month, effective March 9, 2009, prarated for the month of March:, 2009. C. "L.itigatiou" includes court ar administrative proceedings of every type or nature, and includes client conferences, file and report review, interviews, legal research, site visits, and discussians with witnesses and experts prior to formal commencement of proceedings. Ms. Korade is providing services to the City under an Independent Contractor Agreement and the following has been worked out with the Council and Carol as to what the City will be providing to her under that venue. This list has been approved by the Mayor with an effective date of 3-9-09. Business Cards -Her law firm's card New Furniture -Yes - go ahead and purchase Supervision of Dorie and Assistant City Attorney -Carol can request things from Dorie but cannot supervisor or direct.
