A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF
CUPERTINO ADOPTING THE FINAL RELOCATION
IMPACT STATEMENT AND LAST RESORT HOUSING PLAN
FOR 19489 ROSEMARIE PLACE, CUPERTINO, CA
WHEREAS, the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 provides that funds be
made available for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program which pursuant
to the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970, as
amended (42 U.S.C. 4601 et seq.) and the implerrienting regulations found in the Code of Federal
Regulations (49 CFR Part 24), requires that a public entity prepare a relocation study for all
persons to be displaced, as a result of a project carried out by a public entity; and
WHEREAS, on April 15, 2008 and December 16, 2008, the City Council awarded CDBG
funding to Maitri for the purchase of a four-ple;: for use as transitional housing for victims of
domestic violence; and;
WHEREAS, the acquisition would result in the displacement of families and persons and
require; and
WHEREAS, Associated Right of Way Services has prepared and circulated for public comments
a Draft Relocation Impact Statement and Last Resort Housing Plan for all persons to be displaced
as a result of the purchase of 19489 Rosemarie Price; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies
Act of 1970, as amended (42 U.S.C. 4601 et seq.;i and the implementing regulations found in the
Code of Federal Regulations (49 CFR Part 24), the Draft Relocation Impact Statement and Last
Resort Housing Plan states that there are suitable housing units available and ready for
occupancy at comparable rents suitable to the nef:ds of displaced persons. Said units are decent,
safe, sanitary and otherwise standard dwellings; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE TT RESOLVED, that th.e City Council of the City of Cupertino hereby
adopts the Final Relocation Impact Statement. and Last Resort Housing Plan for 19489
Rosemarie Place.

regular meeting held on the 5th day of May 2009 by the following vote:
