Based on the Ordinance, the Council approval is valid for two years, expiring on January 20, 2011. Due to economic conditions and restrictive financial markets, the applicant, Dipesh Gupta, is requesting a one-year extension of these approvals to January 20, 2012 (See Attachment B). Discussion The Cupertino Municipal Code sections 19.124.100 and 19.134.100 authorize the City Council to extend the project approvals for a maximum of one year, without a public hearing.
