102-Draft Resolution.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 10-________ RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR DIRECTOR OF ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES TO EXECUTE ACTIONS NECESSARY TO OBTAIN GRANTS FROM DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY WHEREAS, the federal Department of Homeland Security allocated to the City of Cupertino a $300,000 Emergency Operations Center Grant in fiscal year 2010 for the acquisition and installation of a portable emergency generator at City Hall; and WHEREAS, the California Emergency Management Agency, the grant administrator, has designated the City as an eligible sub-grant recipient of this award; and WHEREAS, the Agency requires that the City Council authorize, by resolution, the City official(s) that can prepare and sign the related grant documents; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO that the City Manager or Director of Administrative Services is hereby authorized to execute for and on behalf of the named applicant, a public entity established under the laws of the State of California, any actions necessary for the purpose of obtaining federal financial assistance provided by the federal Department of Homeland Security and subgranted through the State of California.
