Arnold and Levy PUBLIC HEARINGS l. CITY OF CUPERTINO: Public Hearing to consider 1973 Comprehensive General Plan. Mr. Levy had distributed, in addition to Resolution No. 1183, Exhibit A-l: Detailed Description and Standards of Land Use Designations Within the Core Area; and Exhibit A-2: Summary : , Explanation of Adopted Land Use Designations an3 Standards of City of Cupertino Planning ComMission; and attachments. He suggested the Planning Commission f irst review Exhibit A-2. Comm. Gatto said that in general, it looks good; however, he feels it might be better if the general principles were at the beginning rather than the end of the document. Mr. Levy said he had put it at the end because the principles were the end result. Page 1 changes: Under Major Finding: Add to the end, after "Vallco Park" -"as opposed to the Mariani site". Last paragr-aph shall read: "The positive fiscal impacts of the center at the Vallco Park site together with ttie positive impacts on the character of the Gity in the Vallco Park site created by low intensity developmen.t on Highway 9 outweighs the negative traffic impacts and are ` the basis for the Commission's decision. There was a considerable discussion about the significance of PD,assigned to parcels. Comrr.. Adarns t�ondered if this required the landowners , say , on the west side of High�aay 9, to have a planned development before anyone could develop his property. Comm. Gatto stated that the t�asic desire of this Commission is to have some organization to the development of these areas. Perhaps when the Zoning Ordin�nce is written it can be coded. Page 2, first paragraph, lines 5 and 6 were deleted and replaced with: "The Planning Commission finds it is desirable to amalga- ; mate. The site . . ."
