Hi Kim,
After a lot of thought I have come to a decision to resign from the FAC due to unavoidable circumstances.
I will be travelling to India end of this month to be with my mother during her surgery and recovery.
I will be missing the FAC meetings in May and possibly all summer. It was a lot fun doing the emerging artist and
distinguished artist contest last year. I am glad I met you, KC and Jessie during this time.
1 hope I will be able to volunteer for the city again after things settle down. Please let me know if I should follow up on
anything else.
Regards
Srilakshmi

Hello Commissioners,
Friday, May 20 is the deadline for applications for the l3istinguished Artists and Emerging Artists. I wanted to remind
you about the assignments you accepted at the March 22 meeting.
• Jessi was going to send info to South Bay Artists and FALC (but I just did that today, I sent it to
info@ southbayartists.com <mailto:info a,southbayartists.com >, infoAfalc.org <mailto:info a falc.org >, and
http: / /www.svva.org/. I will send you a copy FYI)
• Jessi was also going to send a list of private art schools for the Commission to divide up and contact. Each
commissioner would then contact the instructors at five or so schools and send Distinguished Artist application info.
• Finally, Jessi was going to investigate advertising in the Cupertino Courier, World Journal, C magazine, and
Cupertino Patch.com, and City Channel (last week in April was the target date).

• KC was going to send info to teachers at Cupertino schools and ask permission to hang posters.
I just found this list of art teachers (see below) from Fremont Union High School, so I sent them the notice, but there is
no guarantee that these are current, nor did I have contact info for any other schools.
