RecommendedAction ReviewbidsandawardcontractforJanitorialServices,ProjectNo.2011-01toClean Innovation,Inc.intheamount of $373,800.00. Discussion ThiscontractisforannualJanitorialServicesandisfundedinvariousbudgetswithinthe GeneralFund.TheprojectconsistsofthecontractorprovidingannualJanitorialServices tothirteenfacilities,busstoplocations,andparkrestrooms.Thetermoftheagreementis twoyearswithsatisfactoryperformance,startingonJuly1,2011andcanbeextendedon ayear-to-yearbasisfortwoadditionalone-yearterms,foratotaloffouryears.Uponone yearsatisfactoryperformancethecontractpricewillbeincreasedordecreasedbasedon theconsumer priceindex(CPI)forall unionwageearners. Thefollowingisa summary ofthe bidsreceivedforthe project: BIDDERBASEBID TotalQuality Maintenance,Inc.$496,212.00 BudgetEstimate$400,000.00 CleanInnovation,Inc.$373,800.00 Thelow bidderisCleanInnovationfortheamount of $373,800.00. CleanInnovation,Inc.hasbeenourcurrentproviderofcontractJanitorialServicesince 2007.Theirworkhasbeenacceptable.ThecurrentannualcostforJanitorialServiceis $326,028.Theprimarilyreasonfortheincreaseistheadditionofa“dayporter”atthe Library/CommunityHall.InadditiontotheCityofCupertino,CleanInnovations provideservicestotheSantaClaraValleyWaterDistrict,CountyofMonterey,and FujitsuAmerica.
