Description TheCitycurrentlyhastwoyearagreementsinplacewiththeCupertinoEmployees Association(CEA),theassociationrepresentingclerical,technicalandprofessional employees,OperatingEngineersLocalUnionNo.3,AFL-CIO(OE3),thebargaining unitrepresentingpublicworksmaintenanceemployees,Unrepresented(Managementand Confidential)EmployeesandCityAttorneyEmployees.Thenegotiatedpackagesexpire onJune 30, 2012. Inconjunctionwiththeupcomingfiscalyear,twominorchangesareproposedthataffect theCupertinoUnrepresented(ManagementandConfidential) Employeegroup only. 1.TitlechangeforthepositionofExecutiveAssistanttotheCityAttorneytothatof LegalServicesManager.Thischangewillmoreappropriatelyreflectthecurrent jobdutiesofthisposition.Oursurveyofothercitiesindicatesthatthistitle changewillnotaffectthesalaryandnoproposalisbeingmadetochangesalary or benefitsasaresult ofthistitlechange;and 2.Consolidationofthefourdepartmentheadsalaryrangesintoonerange.This trend,topayalldepartmentheadpositionsatthesamepayscale,isreplacingthe previous,multiplesalaryrangescenarios.ManySantaClaracitieshavegonetoa one-steprangefordepartmentheads.Thischangeisforcurrentconsolidation purposesonlyandnoproposalisbeingmadetochangesalaryorbenefitsasa result ofthisconsolidationatthistime.
