Gentlemen:
We have inspected the areas for the proposed pool and pond areas in Cupertino
Town Center on Rodrigues Avenue in Cupertino, California. The fill on these areas
was placed while grading Phase 1 of the project. The fill was placed in lifts
and was compacted to at least 90% relative compaction under our supervision.
These areas are ready to receive improvements. A Soils Engineer from our firm
should, however, inspect the bottom of pool after subexcavation. The bottom
of the pool should be free of loose material and should be compacted properly
before placing steel .

6009 . CONNECTION OF SWIMMING POOLS AND EQUIPMENT:
Connection of swimming pools and swimming pool equipment
to sanitary sewers shall not be permitted unless and until
a permit from the District is obtained therefor . A permit
giving permission for connection of the pool or equipment
shall require that they be separated from the sewer by an
air gap and a sump. The maximum size discharge out of the
sump is to be 2-1/2 inch I . D . pipe .
The District Manager may , as a condition of such permit ,
include therein any requirements which in his opinion are
necessary for the protection of the District or its in-
habitants .
