On February 23, 2004, I have visited the referenced job site to verify the trust cuts for the
skylight opening in the kitchen area. The Contractor has boxed the opening area with
2x6 framing and also added 2-2x6's to the adjacent ceiling joists. 2x4's were installed at
16" O.C. around the inside perimeter of the opening to provide support for the portion of
the cut trust. From what I have seen, the framing of the opening is adequately providing
the support the original trusts once provided.
