SUBSTRUCTURE: Item 1C: There are cardboard forms on two concrete piers under the house. RECOMMENDATION: Peel off the forms as best practical. Treat that which is impractical to remove with copper napthenate. ****** This is a Section 2 Item'****** Item 1D: There are stored articles in cellulose containers in ground contact under this building. RECOMMENDATION: Remove articles and containers to eliminate all ground contact. ****** This is a Section 2 Item ****** Item IE: Some corrosion was noted on the water pipes in subarea below the kitchen. Although no leaks were visibly evident on this date, this condition can indicate prior or intermittant seepage. RECOMMENDATION: This area should be checked periodically for any future leaks that may develop. If additional information is desired the concerned parties should consult a licensed plumber. ****** This is a Section 2 Item ****** *Item 1F: NOTE: Some wood members in the subarea have markings or emergence holes from a type of wood boring beetle that does not reinfest finished wood. This existed before the structure was built and no treatments are needed. ********** Information Item ********** STALL SHOWER: Item 2A: The prescribed water test revealed the shower pan in the master bath has ruptured, allowing water to leak into the adjacent wood framing, RECOMMENDATION: Remove the base and all wall tile, replace any damaged wood .within the perimeter of the shower walls. Install a new regulationpan and all new ceramic tile properly set into a fresh, reinforced mortar backing: Note: Bid does not include any cleaning, painting, texturing or repair of adjacent wall or ceiling surfaces that may or may not be needed after new tile is installed. ****** This is a Section 2 Item ****** Item 813: Storage, etc. against the garage walls were not moved during this inspection. There is no evidence of any active infection or structural damage by fungus (rot) at this time.
