Background The following information has been shared by the Hsinchu Sister City Committee: · Event schedule: March 10,2007, 11 AM to 5 PM · Event Description: To have an independent event in partnership with Unity Parade to promote the city to city relationship with Hsinchu City and develop the culture exchange between two communities. · Event support: Mayor Lin of Hsinchu City strongly supports this event and has verbally agreed to personally join this event. A formal written invitation to Hsinchu is called for at this point. · Activities Proposed in the event: There are around 10 cultural booths including: Art Glass display Demonstration of Glass Blowing Custom Design Art Glass Tea culture Exhibit Famous Hsinchu delicatessen Many more booths related to Cultural Exhibit and Hand Craftwork Members of the committee are actively working on this event. Attached is the Festival Budget Allocation. To date, $4 thousand remains unallocated for FY07.
