I am writing in request of a six month extension on Permit No. 25538. This permit
has been issued for the construction of a large trellis over a concrete patio. The
permit was issued while the house was still under construction with the intent to
finish it shortly after completion of the house.

Due to construction delays in the house itself we ended up with several failed
inspections on the trellis due to lack of progress. The house itself received its final
inspection around July 14, 1995. At that time the trellis again failed.
The recent delay on the trellis construction was the completion of the concrete
patio under it. It took a long time to find a suitable concrete contractor who could
do the work at an affordable price. Then we had to wait for him to become
available to do the work. Finally,just prior to pouring the patio concrete, we got a
week of bad weather and it needed to be postponed.
The concrete is now done and trellis framing can start. Since the last inspection
was almost six months ago and no additional house inspections are needed, I am
writing in request of an additional six months on the trellis permit.
