The following items were discussed:

o The Arborist's report has not yet been submitted for staff review
o Landscaping plan will be reviewed at the next meeting
o Traffic
o Traffic operations control center will have to be re-Iocated
o 854 new trips are projected
o Traffic study report states that 2 of the 4 intersections studied will have
unacceptable levels at peak traffic times, however, overall the increased traffic will
not have a significant impact
o The Public Works will review what (if any) traffic mediation efforts are necessary
and provide comments
o Pedestrian access enhancements/modifications
o Proposed new access points/parking spaces/ garage space
o Noise
o A noise impact report was not required
o An acoustical consultant will be hired during the construction phase to determine if
any mediation efforts are needed for the units closest to the high traffic areas
o School Impacts
o School impact report indicated the projected total new enrollment number is 32
students

3. Discussion of sustainability and the General Plan policies
A work project! scope of work report has been submitted by Walker Wells of Global Green.
Global Green representatives will participate in a study session with the Planning Commission at the
March 27, 2007 meeting. The study session will familiarize the Planning Commission with the scope
of work. Chairperson Sandoval suggested that Staff make all new applicants aware of the new
sustainability requirements and requested that at each meeting level these new practices be brought
up with the applicants and/ or developers.
