The site was stripped off of all organic and contaminated material to the depth below where debris and organic material were found. At this point the soil was properly moisture condi- tioned and then compacted to 95 percent relative compaction (ASTM D1557-78) . Additional fill then was placed at the site in lifts of 8 inches and was compacted to 95 percent relative compaction. i Field density. tests taken at the subject site revealed that proper compaction (approximately 95 percent relative compaction) was achieved during the fill placement. It is therefore con- cluded herein that the site is in proper condition and ready to receive further improvements.
