Dear Mr.Ackley: This letter presents the results of our observation of foundation excavations for the residence being constructed at the subject site. Geotechnical recommendations for the residence were • provided In the above-referenced letter report, On December 21, 1999, we observed the footing excavations for residence Including the basement. Based on our observations, the footings are founded in competent native soils capable of supporting the recommended allowable bearing capacities and at the recommended depth. We recommend that the bottoms and sides of the footing excavations be watered as necessary until concrete placement to maintain the moisture content in the soils.
