The following includes our narrative response to City Plan Check dated April 14, 2003. One
clarification is that this project is for the installation of a common corridor and demising walls and does
not reflect space that will be occupied after this build -out. HVAC and perhaps additional electrical
plans for those individual spaces will be provided when a tenant is planning to occupy the space.
Before this, however, it will remain as unoccupied speculative space.
1. Smoke door added to elevator door in leu of lobby as permitted by CBC See 1004.3.4.5,
exception 3 and section 3007.
2. Occupant Load Summary added to Sheet A2
3. Electric Plans submitted for basic electrical work. Again revised electrical plans and complete
HVAC plans will be submitted at a future date for City approval before the space will be

Dear Bruce:
The following includes our narrative response to second City Plan Check dated Julyl, 2003.
3. The scope of the project has been clarified to include modification of one single office space
into two separate spaces (not four as shown previously) with a 1 -hr. corridor separating them.
Although these spaces will not be occupied at this time the existing HVAC document submitted
here shows existing adequate zoning provisions to each space in the event someone enters the
space. Since there are electrical alterations, Title 24 forms are included. Since there is no
HVAC alteration, no Title 24 talcs are submitted and it does not present a life -safety issue.
Both electrical and mechanical will, however, be submitted with any future tenant improvement
drawings prepared for the ultimate occupancy of the spaces to conform with codes.
Supplementary air will be provided in the new corridor at this time as shown by the HVAC
drawings.
