Dear Ms. Werner:
Because you are not adding square footage and volume to your
residence, the changes to your residence are considered
alterations.
The simplest way to comply with Title 24 requirements for
alterations is prescriptively. This means that you simply need
to meet the. minimum mandatory measures for the areas yon are

If you open any opaque surfaces (walls, ceilings, etc) , you must
insulate the opened areas as follows:
Roof: R-19
Balls: R-13
Floors : R-13
. All new windows must have a maximum O-value of 0 .75 or better.
