WJML.KIJ:rd 2/3/67 lOc RESOLVPION N0. 1381-5 A RESOLUTION DIRECTING PREPARATION OF INVESTIGATION REPORT UNDER DIVISION b OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE DeANZA ET AL. IMPROVEMENT PROJECT PROJECT N0. E6-1 RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Cupertino, California, that Lawrence G. Brian and C~., a competent person for this purpose, is hereby directed to proceed and prepare such information as may be required therefor, to make a report in the form set forth in Division 4 of the Streets and Highways Code, . Por the acquisitions and improvements set forth in Exhibit "A" hereto attached and incorporated herein by reference, all as more particularly described in Resolution No. 1381-4 of Preliminary Determination adopted by this Council on February 6, 1967, to which resolution reference is hereby made for a particular description of the general nature, location and extent of the proposed acquisitions and improvements, of the boundaries or extent of the district or lands to be specially assessed to pay all the costs thereof, and of the Statutes under which the proceedings therefor are proposed to be conducted. ~t~~tt~t~~t* _ ~ ~ RXHTBIT A STEVFNS CREEK BOULEVARD - STELLING ROAD - McC7~F.T.T.AN ROAD ~OVEMENT PROJECT a) The acquisition oP easements necessary to widen Stevens Creek Boalevard to a uniPorm Midth of 120 feet from West Valley Freeway to near Highxay 9 and the improving thereof by clearing and grub- bing, grading, subgrade preparation, base pavement and wearing sur- face, asphalt feathering, and berms, concrete curbs, gutters, sidetiralks and ialanda, traPfic bars, striping, storm drain pipe, catch basina, manholes and appurtenances, water mains, valves, hy- drants, hose bibbs, meter connections And appurtenances,'electro- liers, traffic signals and signs. b) The acquiaition of easements necessary to widen McClellan Road to a uniform width of 60 feet from a point about 550 feet easterly of Stelling Road to the West Valley Freexay, except~.ng therefrom that portion oP McClellan Road outside the City limits of the City of Cupertino which is westerly of a point about 550 feet westerly of Stelling 8oad, and the improvSng thereoP by clearing and gnibbing, grading, subgrade preparation, base pavement and wearing surface, aspha.lt feathering, concrete curbs, gutters and sidewalks, traffic bars, striping, storm drain pipe, catch basins, manholes and appur- tenances, fire hydrants, electroliers and street signs. c) The acquisition of easements necessary to widen Stelling Roed to a uniform xidth of 90 feet £rom zear Alves Drive to near ?~tlac Way, excepting therefrom that portion oP Stelling Road outside the City limits of the City of Cupertino which is southerly of a point about 175 feet southerly of McClellan Road, a.nd the improving thereof by clearing and grubbing, grading, subgrade preparation, topsoil, base pavement andrearing aurface, asphalt feathering, concrete curbs, gutters and side~valks, striping, storm drain pipe, catch basins, manholes and appurtenances, xater pipe, hydrants, hose bibbs, meter connections and appurtenances, electroliers, traffic signals and eigns. d) The improving of public easements to be dedicated for fire protec- tion purposes on the property of the DeAnza Campus of the Foothill Junior College District, by grading and the construction therein of base pavement and wearing surface, curbs, gutters, striping, traffic bars, signs, storm drain pipe, catch basins, a?anholes a.nd appurtenances, water mains, valves, hydrants, metering station and appurtenances, and electroliers, and such other facilities as are reasona.bly related to the improving of said rights of way for fire protection purposes. e) The acquisition of the parcel of property at the southwesterly cor- ner of Stevens Creek Boulevard and Stelling Road and the improving thereof as a public off-street automobile parking lot by grading, removing trees, bushes and existing structures and the construction therein of base pavement, wearing surface, curbs, gutters, drainage facilities, lighting Pacilities, striping, landscapin~, and all auziliary work necessary to complete the same as oPP-street automo- bile parking facilitiea. f) The a~quisition of the right oP use of the sewage disposal facili- ties oP the Cupertino Sanitary District by payment of connection chsrges required bq said District for connection to their facilities. g) The acquisition of all lands and easements and the construction of all work auxiliary to any of the above and necessary to complete the same. - ~ ~ • . ~ ~ . - . t PASSED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Cupertino, State of California, this 6th day of February , 1.96~ , by the follewing vote: AYES: C ounc ilmen: Dempster, Johnson, Stokes, Fitzgerald NOES: Councilmen: None ABSENT: Councilmen: Noel i f~~i~~- /r aYar, o tem ATTEST: ~cGL,e.aGc-> , l Ac n' 1LY er I hereby certify that this is an exact copy of original resoluti~n on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Cupertino. ~y '~~..~crGs //"cG.. lZ y lerT ; Z°~ y o uper o
