A RESOLUTION PRELIMINARILY APPROVING ENGINEER'S REPORT,
AND FIXING TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING TI~REON, UNDER
DIVISZON 4 OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE
DeANZA ET AL. IMPROVEMENT PROJECT N0. 66-1
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Cupertino, California,
that
WFFIE~REA3, this Council ordered Lawrence G. Brian and Co., under
Diviaion 4 oP the Streets and Highways C~de, to prepare a report for the
acquiaitions and improvements in said City as more particularly described
in Exhibit "A" hereto attached and incorporated herein by reference;
WHEREAS, said report has been completed and presented to this
Council, and this Council has examined said report;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERID, as follows:
1. That said report is hereby preliminarily approved and ordered
filed with the City Clerk, who shall endorse thereon the fact and date
of this approval.
2. That Monday, the lOth day of April, 1967, at the hour oi a:00
o'clock P.M., in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Cupertino, California,
are hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing upon said report.
3. The Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of the hearing on
said report in the form provided by law, by mailing copies oP said
, notice at least thirty days prior to the date of the hearing, postage
prepaid, to each person to whom land in the propoaed assessment diatrict
is assessed on the last equalized assesament roll of said City, at his
addresa as shown upon auch roll, and to each person whether owner in fee
or having a lien upon or legal or equity interest in any land within the
proposed district, whose name and address and a designation of the lands
in which he is interested is on file in the office of the City Clerk.

IMPROVEt~NT PROJECT
a) The acquisition of easements necessary to widen Stevens Creek
Boulevard to a uniform xidth of 120 feet from West Valley Freeway
to near Highway 9 and the improving thereoP by clearing and grub-
bing, grading, subgrade preparation, base pavement and wearing sur-
face, asphalt feathering, and berms, concrete curbs, gutters,
sidewalks and islands, traffic bars, striping, storm drain pipe,
catch basins, max~holes and appurtenances, water ma.ins, valves, hy-
drants, hose bibbs, meter connections and appurtena.nces,'electro-
liers, traffic signals and aigns.
b) The acquisition oP easements necessary to widen McClellan Road to
a unlform width of 60 feet from a point about 550 feet easterly of
Stelling Road to the West Valley Freeway, except~.ng therefrom that
portion of McClellan Road outside the City limits of the City of
Cupertino which is wester2y of a point about 550 feet westerly of
Stelling aoad, and the improv~ng thereof by clearing and gnibbing,
grading, subgrade preparation; base pavement and wearing surface,
aspha,lt Peathering, concrete curbs, gutters and sidewalks, traffic
bars, striping, atorm drain pipe, catch basins, manholes and appur-
tenances, fire hydrants, electroliers and street signs.
c) The acquisition oP easements necessary to widen Stelling Rosd to a
uniform xidth of 90 ~eet from near Alves Drive to near Lilac Way,
excepting thereProm that portion of Stelling Road outside the City
limits of the City oP Cupertino which is southerly oP a point about
175 feet southerly oP McClellan Road, and the improving thereof by
clearing and grubbing, grading, subgrade preparation, topsoil, base
pavement and wearing surPace, asphalt Peathering, concrete curbs,
gutters and sidewalks, striping, storm drain pipe, catch basins,
manholes and appurtenances, xater pipe, hydrants, hose bibbs, meter
connections and appurtena,nces, electroliers, traffic signals and
signs.
d) The improving of public easements to be dedicated for fire protec-
tion purposes on the property of the DeAnza Campus of the Foothill
Junior College Dietrict, by grading and the construction therein
of base pavement and wearing surface, curbs, gutters, striping,
tra.Pfic baxs, signs, storm drain pipe, catch basins, ma,nholes and
appurtenances, water ma,ins, valves, hydra.nts, meterin~ station and
appurtenances, and electroliers, and such other facilit3es as are
reasona,bly related to the improving of said rights of way for fire
protection purposes.
e) The acquisition of the parcel of property at the aouthwesterly cor-
ner of Stevens Creek Boulevard and Stelling Road and the improving
thereof as a public ofP-street automobile parking lot by grading,
removing trees, bushes and existing structures and the construction
therein oP base pavement, wearing surPace, curbs, gutters, draina~e
facilities, lighting facilities, striping, landscaping, and all
auziliary work necessary to complete the same as off-street automo-
bile parking Pacilitiee.
P) The aoquisition of the right of use oP the seivage disposal Pacili-
tiea ot the Cupertino 3anitary District by payment of connection
che.rges required by said District for connection to their facilities.
g) The acquisition of all lands and easements and the conatruction of
all rtork auxiliary to any of the above and necesssry to complete
the same.
