A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO
AMENDING POLICY NUMBER NINE (N0. 9) OF THE MANAGEMENT
COMPENSATION PROGRAM
WHEREAS, a group policy providing City-paid income protection in
event of long-term disability is provided to various represented employee
groups and to conf idential employees; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to extend this employee benefit
to management employees as part of the total compensation package for this
group of employees;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Policy Number Nine ~No. 9) of the
Management Compensation Program be amended to include City-paid long term
disability insurance for employees occupying management positions, as
shown in Attachment"A", which is snco~.porated in this resolution by this
reference.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Cupertino this 19th day of July , 1976, by the

MANAGEMENT COMPENSATION PROGRAM
Policy No. 9
LONG-TERM DISABILITY INSURANCE
It is the policy of the City of Cupertino to make available
group insurance coverage for Management and Confidential employees
that will mitigate the personal and family financial hardships
resulting from continuing disability that prevents an employee
from performing gainfully in his or her occupation.
Employees occupying Management and Confidential positions may
enroll in the disability income program offered if eligible under
the contract provisions of the policy and the personnel rules of
the City. The full cost of premiums for this insurance shall be
paid by the City for such employees.
