Approve fee waiver request from the League of Women Voters of Cupertino-Sunnyvale of
approximately $280 in facility use fees for the use of Community Hall on May 8, 2008, for a
Candidates Forum for the Santa Clara Water District and the Assembly District.
BACKGROUND
The League of Women Voters Cupertino-Sunnyvale is a nonprofit, nonpartisan political
organization. Pursuant to the City of Cupertino°s facility use policy, adopted by the City Council, a
nonprofit organization providing a service to the community shall receive a waiver of fees relative
to their event as has been done in previous years.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that Ciry Council waive the room rental fees in the~approximate amount of
$280.00.

Community Hall on May 8, 2008 from 6=9:30pm to hold a candidate forum for the Santa Ciara Water
District and the Assembly District 22. Cupertino residents will benefit by being able to hear the
candidates in person and question them on issues of interest to them. We hope you will be able to grant
this waiver for May 8th.
