Fee Waiver Water District Candidate ForumDEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION CUPERTINO Agenda Item No. 10 SUBJECT AND ISSUE MEETING DATE: April 1, 2008 Approve fee waiver request from the League of Women Voters of Cupertino-Sunnyvale of approximately $280 in facility use fees for the use of Community Hall on May 8, 2008, for a Candidates Forum for the Santa Clara Water District and the Assembly District. BACKGROUND The League of Women Voters Cupertino-Sunnyvale is a nonprofit, nonpartisan political organization. Pursuant to the City of Cupertino°s facility use policy, adopted by the City Council, a nonprofit organization providing a service to the community shall receive a waiver of fees relative to their event as has been done in previous years. STAFF RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends that Ciry Council waive the room rental fees in the~approximate amount of $280.00.
