These hatches have been engineered to meet the requirements for n 10 year warranty which is the longest in the industry. Nystrom can match any manufacturers standard specification but Nystrom will then warrant the product to tbat manufacturers standard warranty. Standard Product Features and Benefits: i • HARDWARE: The following components are manufacnucd from t1316 stainless steel which insures years of corrosion resistance with virtually no maintenance: compression spring and brackets, slam latch, hold open arm and all fastencts and nuts. • MATERTAL: The tread plate, structural frame and hinge are constructed of type 6061-T6 mill finish aluminum. The structural aluminum frame and hinge provide a high level of corrosion r sistaoce and durability. The aluminum tread plate combines this rugged corrosion -resistant durability and economy with the safety of all-weather traction and ease of use. • OPENING. FORCE: All hatch designs allow the doors to be opened with no more than 10 lbs of opining force. The hatches automatically lock into the open position at 90 degrees and can be released and closed single handed. The counter balsncing/hold open arm mechanism allows the hatch to be opened safely and with case. • TAVE LOAD: All hatch designs are engineered to support the designated live load requirements with less than 1/240th deflection over the total span. • HrNGj: Hinge: Yx 3" heavy duty butt hinge with stainless steel pin, fastened to the door by 0316 stainless steel carriage bolts. Slotted bolt holes in hinge to allow for onsite adjustment. • t:ASKVTjNQ: Neoprene gasket between door and frame lielp to prevent water leakage and on exterior doors keeps the leakage is the goner frame which is channeled off via drainage coupling. • MATING: Minimum 4 mil bitumhrous epoxy coating is applied to the structural aluminum Game to prevent against galvanic corrosion frorn contact with concrete. • P_BD HAN11f &: Flush drop handle on exterior hatches is over channel frame so that leakage is captured in the gutter and channeled off. • DOOR EDGri: Minimal door return into frame on hinge side. Allows door to be opened if channel frame is filled with ice or debris. Material Specifications • Ahr inttm Diamond Tread laic: Mil-F-17132B and UNS-A96061, 1/4" 6061•T6 aluminum with mill finish. • lA uminu F%trusion (for structural frame): ASTM B306, 6061-T6 aluminum with baked on bitununous epoxy paitit finish. • Hardware: e: ASTM A313.87, 9316 Stainless Steel. • Fasteners: ASTM F593 for bolls and ASTM F594 for huts, 9316 Stainless steel. Phone: Phone; 600-547-2635 ray; 650 903 5920 ax; 800-317-8770 Subject: Villa #57 floor hatch Gentlemen, After researching the information requested on the floor hatch I have submitted wim my superiors, I have discovered the foilowiny: 1. Underwriters LaOoratory is one of the two organizations that conduct testing and report on fire ratings in the floor hatch industry. UL tests and reports on the products that we request to be tested in order to achieve one of the several (ire ratings that apply to our products. UL does not Issue reports or classification numbers on the products that Nystrom does not wish or request to carry a rating. The floor hatch submitted is an non -rated hatch, and therefore is not classified or listed or identified by a UL number or roport. 2. it is Nystrom's understanding that ICBO listings do not apply to Nystrom non -rated floor hatches. A copy of wood frame installation detail is to follow this cover page, A copy will follow in the mail. There is no quick way for us to locate installed gutter frame floor hatch examples in the Bay Area, so this may take some time, Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
