FOUNDATION INSPECTION
Dear Mr. Liu:
Pursuant to your request, we have performed foundation inspection services
during footing excavations. The subject site is the new residence located at
20699 Rodrigues Avenue in Cupertino, California.
A representative from our office performed several foundation inspections on
April 6 and 16, 2012. Our inspections indicated thcat the foundation trenches
for the perimeter and interior footings were clean at the bottom and free of
loose material. The depth of these trenches met the minimum depth
recommended in our Geotechnical Investigation (Fil-2 No. 61 S1 -S1 dated May
12, 201 1). As a result of our inspections, we certify that the inspected
foundation trenches for the building structure art? complete and ready to
receive further improvements.

This letter is to confirm in writing that SMP ENGINEERS, Civil Engineers and Land Surveyors;
provided construction staking for the above referenced project.
The stakes were placed in accordance with the plans approved by the City of Cupertino, both
horizontally and vertically. Subsequently, we performed a foundation verification site visit and
determined that the contractor has formed the foundation in accordance with our stakes and the
approved plans, both horizontally.
Top of the form elevation was measured to be 258.70 feet.
All dimensions and elevations are given to the nearest 0.1 feet.
