(applied in two coats of 1 gallon per 100 sq. ft). (For 20 dry mils, apply in two coats of 1 1/4 gallons per 100 sq. ft.) On mineral surfaces—approximately 2-3 gallons per 100 sq. ft. depending on porosity and roughness of surface (applied in two Coats of 1 - 1 1/2 gallons per 100 sq. ft.). 7iSurfac-e.Preparation Surface must be clean and in good repair. Sweep and power wash area to remove all dust, dirt, loose granules, and residues. Scrub areas where water ponds with detergent and water, and rinse well. Carefully inspect area to be coated, including around pipes, chimneys,.equipment, roof edges and walls. Repair all cracks, breaks, splits and holes by embedding polyester fabric between 2 heavy coats of Henry #289 ElastoCaulk®at least 2 inches beyond repair. Allow to completely cure. Henry #289 ElastoCaulk can usually be coated within 24 hours. On metal roofs, tighten all fasteners. Seal fasteners and seams with Henry #289 ElastoCaulk. NOTE: All leaks must be sealed prior to application of this product. Henry #600 Ruftac®self-adhering membrane may be used in lieu of mastic. Coat Henry#600 Ruftac with Asphalt Emulsion prior to coating with this product. When coating over newly-applied asphalt emulsion, proceed as soon as the emulsion has cured, normally 1-7 days. When recoating a previously coated aluminum or white roof, for best results, apply a base coat of Henry #1070 Asphalt Emulsion at a rate of 3 gallons per 100 sq. ft.Allow emulsion to cure completely before application of HE280DC -WHITE ELASTOMERIC ROOF COATING. For best results, apply base coat of Henry#291 Premium Elastomeric Base Coat at a rate of 1 gallon per 100 sq. ft. When Henry#291 Premium Elastomeric Base Coat is used at the recommended rate, HE280DC -WHITE ELASTOMERIC ROOF COATING may be applied in a single coat at recommended rate. On new APP and roofs where ponding (water that remains on roof more than 48 hours after rainfall) may occur, apply a base coat of Asphalt Emulsion at a rate of 3 gallons per 100 sq. ft., then apply a base coat of Henry#291 Premium Elastomeric Base Coat. For best results on roofs where ponding may occur, use Henry#176 PondPatch®to create positive drainage in those areas prior to the application of HE280DC -WHITE ELASTOMERIC ROOF COATING. Follow the recommended curing instructions as shown in the Henry#176 PondPatch label. Over metal, BUR, smooth SBS and APP modified bitumen membranes, thoroughly sweep the surface clean of all contaminants and anti-blocking agents and apply a base coat of Asphalt Emulsion at a rate of 3 gallons per 100 sq. ft., prior to applying 2 coats of HE280DC -WHITE ELASTOMERIC ROOF COATING at 1 - 1 1/4 gallon per 100 sq. ft. per coat. Choose a warm, sunny day—the roof surface should be warm to the touch. If the roof surface is too hot to touch (1400 F+), it is too hot to coat. Apply to a clean, dry surface. Do not dilute. Stir coating to a uniform consistency, and apply by heavy-duty spray, deep-pile paint roller, or 4-knot brush. When applied by brush or roller, keep strokes in one direction. Apply in two coats at recommended rate for the substrate. Apply both coats the same day. Allow to dry thoroughly between Coats. Schedule work so second coat can dry before nightfall. Apply second coat at right angles to first coat. DO NOT APPLY WHEN AIR TEMPERATURE IS BELOW 500 F, OR IF THERE IS A THREAT OF RAIN, FOG, DEW, OR TEMPERATURES BELOW 500 F WITHIN 48-72 HOURS. Do not heat container or store at temperatures greater than 120 a F. When transporting this product, be sure the pail is secured and the lid is tight. Do not allow pail to tumble as this may loosen the lid and allow leakage to occur. DO NOT ALLOW COATING IN PAIL TO FREEZE. This coating is not recommended over walking decks, over gravel, T.P.O., shingles of any kind, or old roofs that are too dry and brittle to withstand the shrinkage stresses that occur after the application of any coating. Before coating dries, clean tools, spillage, etc., with warm soapy water.
