I V IIWIIUNDERSTAND AND AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING:
1. The re-roof project shall comply with all applicable provisions of the 2010 California Codes.
2. An inspection request can be scheduled up to the day before the inspection date. Please call (408)777-
3228 from 7:30 - 3:30pm (Mon-Thurs) or 7:30 - 2:30pm (Friday) to schedule the next day inspection.
For Tear-Off and Nailing Inspections, you must also call on the day of the inspection only after that
phase of the work is completed. The building inspector will be available within one hour. Progress
and Final Inspections will be given a two hour window.
3. Tear-Off Inspection is required. Any and all dry-rotted wood shall be replaced prior to this inspection.
Unless new plywood roof sheathing is proposed throughout, all the nails/fasteners shall be either
completely knocked-down or removed prior to this inspection.
4. If plywood is installed, a plywood Nailing Inspection is required.
5. Roofing shall not be applied without first obtaining all prior inspection and written approvals from the
building inspector. Any roofing which is applied without first obtaining an approved inspection will
require the removal of all new material down to the sheathing so a proper inspection can be performed.
6. Progress Inspection is required when approximately 50% of roof covering is installed.
7. A Final Inspection and approval shall be obtained from the building inspector when the re-roofing is
completed. To receive a final sign-off, the following items will be verified:
a. Flat roofs shall have a minimum of%" per foot of slope and demonstrate there is no ponding.
b. Listings from approved testing agencies for all pre-manufactured products used shall be
available on-site to review at the time of the inspection.
c. Proper spark arrestor installation, vents painted, gutter/downspouts installed, debris removed.
8. NOTE: If you call for a tear-off or plywood nailing inspection and the work is not complete, you will be
charged a re-inspection fee of$126.00. The re-inspection fee shall be paid before another inspection
can be scheduled.
By my signing below, I certify each of the following is true: I am the property owner or authorized agent to act on the
property owner's behalf. I understand and agree to comply with the re-roof policy stated above. I also understand that
smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors are required to be installed in accordance with Sections R314 and R315 of
the 2010 Califomia Residential Code.

Description
HE28ODC -WHITE ELASTOMERIC ROOF COATING is a premium, water-based acrylic latex coating. Properly applied, it is
highly resistant to disbonding, chalking, mildew, fungi, and discoloration. HE280DC -WHITEtEL-ASTOM ROOF COATING,
gives the following benefits: • Reflects up to 88% of sun's heat and U.V. COPY,• Lowers roof and interior temperatures
• Prolongs roof life
• Reduces air conditioning costs

HE28ODC -WHITE ELASTOMERIC ROOF COATING may be used in the following applications:
• Well adhered, weathered, previously coated white or aluminum roof surfaces
• Mineral surface cap sheet (conventional, SBS or APP)
• Smooth surface BUR, SBS and APP roofs require a base coat of Henry Asphalt Emulsion
• Metal roofs require a base coat of Henry Asphalt Emulsion -also see Henry MetalShield®for metal roofs
• Stucco and masonry parapet walls
• Aged PVC, EPDM and Hypalon membranes
• Recoat of Polyurethane Foam Roofs
• . . •
On smooth surfaces—approximately 2-2 1/2 gallons per 100 sq. ft. (applied in two coats of 1 gallon per 100 sq. ft). (For 20 dry
mils, apply in two coats of 1 1/4 gallons per 100 sq. ft.) On mineral surfaces—approximately 2-3 gallons per 100 sq. ft.
depending on porosity and roughness of surface (applied in two Coats of 1 - 1 1/2 gallons per 100 sq. ft.).
7iSurfac-e.Preparation
Surface must be clean and in good repair. Sweep and power wash area to remove all dust, dirt, loose granules, and residues.
Scrub areas where water ponds with detergent and water, and rinse well. Carefully inspect area to be coated, including around
pipes, chimneys,.equipment, roof edges and walls. Repair all cracks, breaks, splits and holes by embedding polyester fabric
between 2 heavy coats of Henry #289 ElastoCaulk®at least 2 inches beyond repair. Allow to completely cure. Henry #289
ElastoCaulk can usually be coated within 24 hours. On metal roofs, tighten all fasteners. Seal fasteners and seams with Henry
#289 ElastoCaulk. NOTE: All leaks must be sealed prior to application of this product. Henry #600 Ruftac®self-adhering
membrane may be used in lieu of mastic. Coat Henry#600 Ruftac with Asphalt Emulsion prior to coating with this product.
When coating over newly-applied asphalt emulsion, proceed as soon as the emulsion has cured, normally 1-7 days. When
recoating a previously coated aluminum or white roof, for best results, apply a base coat of Henry #1070 Asphalt Emulsion at
a rate of 3 gallons per 100 sq. ft.Allow emulsion to cure completely before application of HE280DC -WHITE ELASTOMERIC
ROOF COATING.
For best results, apply base coat of Henry#291 Premium Elastomeric Base Coat at a rate of 1 gallon per 100 sq. ft. When
Henry#291 Premium Elastomeric Base Coat is used at the recommended rate, HE280DC -WHITE ELASTOMERIC ROOF
COATING may be applied in a single coat at recommended rate.
On new APP and roofs where ponding (water that remains on roof more than 48 hours after rainfall) may occur, apply a base
coat of Asphalt Emulsion at a rate of 3 gallons per 100 sq. ft., then apply a base coat of Henry#291 Premium Elastomeric
Base Coat.
For best results on roofs where ponding may occur, use Henry#176 PondPatch®to create positive drainage in those areas
prior to the application of HE280DC -WHITE ELASTOMERIC ROOF COATING. Follow the recommended curing instructions as
shown in the Henry#176 PondPatch label.
Over metal, BUR, smooth SBS and APP modified bitumen membranes, thoroughly sweep the surface clean of all contaminants
and anti-blocking agents and apply a base coat of Asphalt Emulsion at a rate of 3 gallons per 100 sq. ft., prior to applying 2 coats
of HE280DC -WHITE ELASTOMERIC ROOF COATING at 1 - 1 1/4 gallon per 100 sq. ft. per coat.
Choose a warm, sunny day—the roof surface should be warm to the touch. If the roof surface is too hot to touch (1400 F+), it is
too hot to coat. Apply to a clean, dry surface. Do not dilute. Stir coating to a uniform consistency, and apply by heavy-duty spray,
deep-pile paint roller, or 4-knot brush. When applied by brush or roller, keep strokes in one direction. Apply in two coats at
recommended rate for the substrate. Apply both coats the same day. Allow to dry thoroughly between Coats. Schedule work so
second coat can dry before nightfall. Apply second coat at right angles to first coat.
DO NOT APPLY WHEN AIR TEMPERATURE IS BELOW 500 F, OR IF THERE IS A THREAT OF RAIN, FOG, DEW, OR
TEMPERATURES BELOW 500 F WITHIN 48-72 HOURS. Do not heat container or store at temperatures greater than 120 a F.
When transporting this product, be sure the pail is secured and the lid is tight. Do not allow pail to tumble as this may loosen the
lid and allow leakage to occur. DO NOT ALLOW COATING IN PAIL TO FREEZE. This coating is not recommended over
walking decks, over gravel, T.P.O., shingles of any kind, or old roofs that are too dry and brittle to withstand the shrinkage
stresses that occur after the application of any coating.
Before coating dries, clean tools, spillage, etc., with warm soapy water. If coating has dried, soften the dried film on tools with
