2012 Grantees
Panelist Score Review
City of Cupertino Total Score: 21.25
Strengths
- Belloved event. Gives accessibility to excellent theater. High quality and community impact.
Concerns
- Has confusion about who is applying: is it the City of Cupertino? Are they helping fundraise for SF Shakespeare?
Is SF Shakespeare the actual applicant? Since the application is coming from the City, would expect the city to
present more about summer programming. We don't have financial information on the strength of the City of
Cupertino or of SF Shakespeare. Notes that this is $30K listed as revenue but there are no notes. Is this City
funding or SF Shakespeare funding? It looks like the organizational budget snapshot is for SF Shakespeare. It was
challenging to find and weight specific sections for the applicant.
Suggestions
- Need much more clarity about who is actual applicant. This program does not fund San Francisco organizations,
so if City of Cupertino Recreation Department is applying for program sponsorship, then more information should
be provided about Cupertino's Rec Dept and their programs.
