RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends approval of the resolution retroactively applying the photovoltaic fee reduction to quasi-public buildings that ha~c-e applied for such a permit in the last eighteen months. BACKGROUND On October 7, 2008, Council adopted Resohition No: 08-134, which lowered quasi- . public photovoltaic permit fees to $1123. Council further directed staff to bring back before Council the issue of applying the reduced fee retroactively to the two churches that have installed photovoltaic systems wii:hin the last eighteen months: Bethel Lutheran Church and St. Jude's Episcopal Church. FISCAL IMPACT The retroactive application of the new phot~~voltaic systems permit fee will result in an impact to the General Fund in the approximate amount of $8,988.00; $4,494.00 per occurrence. Photovoltaic Systems (Solar) for Quasi-Public Buildings shall be applied retroactively to April 1, 2007. .
