This letter is to confirm our review of the structural plans of Lot # 2 prepared by
Kihlthau, Inc. and architectural plans prepared by Memarie Assoc. Inc. Our review
revealed there were discrepancies between the two plans as follows:
1. The architectural plans show double doors and the structural plan show an
opening for a single door.
2. The structural plans show a number 8 shear wall approximately 7'-0" long
located along line D in the dinning room. However, the architectural plans is
only 4'-8" a plywood standard shear wall does not work in this wall due to the
height to width limitation exceeding 2.
3. A double HPX-44 X 9 Hardy Frame wall will not fit inside the 1'-10" wall
located along line E at the stairs.
Based upon these circumstances and falling out between you and Kihlthau, Inc. RC
Consulting Engineers, Inc. (RCCEI) was asked by you to prepare structural plans.
The plans by RCCEI is to replace the plans prepared by Kihlthau, Inc. and reduce
and any further delays in obtaining the building permit.
