Times article "Is Cupertino Sacrificing it's Core to the Apple", I was amazed over the fact that Cupertino refunds 0% of the sales tax of Apple's sales back to Apple. No sales tax should be refunded at all to Apple. You are in a position to change that. Apple's profit last year was .2 billion on 6 billion f revenue. The attl'cle states your planning rtment ha s only one laptop to .ate, and that you ask.ed Apple to loan a laptop and a smart board. The $6.4 nffion refunded last year is such a small ainount of Apple's revenue, but oral es a big difference in upertu-i 's small budget. There would be no risk to demanding that Apple pay its fair share of sales taxes to the city of Cupertino; believe ine, they will not pack and leave over a fear million dollars. You must stand up for the people of Cupetti o and represent them well-being, not the demands of a large corporation, Apple produces products we all love and appreciate, but remember just lire Chevron or Exxon, they are a corporation; they worry about their bottom lire and their stock prices. You should also demand that that roads around the new carnpus be public easements; especially the road between the existing Apple campus and the newly acquire HP land. It was written that Deals life to walk on Ptuneridge Ave, If you look t large developments in other cities, such as Los Angeles, developers will often fund public parks and wally ys adjacent to the land that is being developed. Our schools are great today in past for the continued support in education that we received From Apple. In the early 90s, when I was a room mom, I had a survey to find out how many lids had computers in their homes, When I asked the lids if they have computer at home, none raised their hand, When I asked if they have Apple, practically over everyone raised their hands. This is how much positive impact Apple has had and continues to do so in our community. We are blessed to have them and should be welcome with open arms. I live on Judy Ave here in Loree Estates and I had some concerns at the beginning of the project but most, if not ail, of them have been mitigated with the EIR that was produced. This project has taken into account the concerns of a very wide audience and Apple has done a stellar job in addressing as many as possible. I see this project improving the way of life in Cupertino, raising property values in Cupertino, maintaining the high quality of our schools in Cupertino, and increasing the image of Cupertino as a great place to live in the San Francisco Bay Area..
