CALLED TO ORDER– 2:10 P.M. BY Miguel Grey 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES –January 27, 2011 approval of minutes deferred to July meeting 3. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS Resident ,Paul Petach, from Rancho Deep Cliff inquired about Dam water level @Kester- Interested in working with Citizen Corps group to organize disaster plan. There are 8-12 homes where residents are either elderly, or disabled. Kim Smith advised Council that there area now two wireless printers available in the Clerk's office. Clinton Brownley inquired about status of citywide exercise participation survey that just went out. 4. WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS - None 5. REPORTS A. OES & Block Leader– submitted in writing Laura Lee reported that Block Leaders meeting tonight will honor different block leaders. Program operating in 9t" year. B. Volunteer Group Reports –CERT, CARES, Neighborhood Watch Ken Ericksen submitted report outlining CERT/MRC/CARES accomplishments in last quarter; PEP classes; Event support; Upcoming events. Jim O reported on CARES—City now has own radio repeater relocated on top of Verona building—greatly improved ham radio reception throughout the City. Scheduled 6/25: International Hann Radio Field Day. 7. EOC SECTION Training –Tabletop exercise – Sanitation/Public Health issues during earthquakes and other disasters. Marsha Hovey and Miguel Grey distributed and reviewed in detail a function matrix for operations and management . 8. PUBLIC INFORMATION Update Working on iPhone App for Disaster Prep and City services. 9. NEW BUSINESS A. County Fire ESC Core Competencies;- Miguel Grey 10. OLD BUSINESS A. Dam Plan – OES report submitted in writing May 12 preliminary Dam study Ken Ericksen recommended Citizen Corps to watch Dam Jim O requested to send notification to CARES group. Miguel and Ken to draft email. B. Citywide Exercise- Miguel Grey 11. SECTION SPECIFIC SMALL GROUP BREAKOUT DISCUSSIONS 12. ANNOUNCEMENTS Next meeting July 28 2:00-4:00 p.m. 13.
