Subject: ban eps please
Honorable Councilmembers:
Please vote for both parts of agenda item 17 at the meeting tomorrow evening, to effectively ban the
use of Styrofoam for take -out food in Cupertino, for all the reasons listed in the staff report. Not only
is it really bad for the environment when it ends up as litter, but it ends up in the landfill even if it's
properly discarded in Cupertino, according to Recology rules. It's not easily recyclable.
Recyclable alternatives exist.
Thank you!

Subject: Support the Polystyrene & Foo Service Ware Ordiance
Gentlemen - I and other members of the Sierra Club agree; with the staff report (dated for the Jan 21 meeting).
So
I am asking that you support the ordinance.
This is not only the environmentally correct thing to do, but it is also consistent with the ordinances (and likely
ordinances) of our surrounding community.
