MINUTES CALL,ME'ETING'TO ORDER Commissioner Friedland called the meeting to order at 7`04 PM ROLL CALL Commissioners present: Beverly Siegel, Peter Friedland, Wallace'limura, Shishir Chavan (Arrived at 8:27),,Rod-Livingood Commissioners absent: None Staff Present: Rick Kitson; Erin.Cooke APPROVAL OF MINUTES I. Commissioner limura.made a motion to approve the March 5`h minutes. Commissioner Livingood seconded'the motion. Vote 5-0 ORAL,COMMUNICATIONS 1 This portion of the meeting is reserved for persons wishing to address the commission on any matter not on the agenda. Speakers are limited to three (3) niinutesa person. In most cases; state law will prohibit the commission from makinganydccisionswith respect to,a matter not listed on the,agenda. -None. I WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS - 1,0/22/13 Letter from AT&T regarding Franchise and PEG In-Kind Fees - 12/2/1`3 Letter from Comcast regarding notice of intent to adjust current prices for Xfinity Triple Play Packages - 12/1.2/13 Letter from AT&T regarding possible'[J-Verse TV programming changes - 1/15`/14 Letter from AT&T regarding U-Verse TV programming changes - 2/13/2014 Letter from AT&T regarding U-Verse: TV programming changes - 4/17/2014 Letter'from,AT&T regarding U-Verse: TV programming changes UNFINISHED BUSINESS 3. There was discussion about the•CPUC letter that had been sent two months prior to this meeting. TICC still has not received any response. Rick Kitson stated there has been no confirmed response from the CPUC. OLD BUSINESS 4. Discussion regarding the assignments of the technology workshop follow-up actions - Commissioner Friedland visited the Sunnyvale.Libmry in order to further inquire about 3D printers. They have 2 3D printers, they allow for two sign-ups a day. Anyone can reserve a time and gain access to the,printers. 5. Erin Cooke gave several updates on items that she has been working on. Erin is going to send timeline,and examples,of-certain projects where she believes TICC can be of use: NEW BUSINESS:. 6. TICC will report to City Council on April 15°i 7. Commissioner Friedland showed his City Council presentation to the Commission in order to get feedback. 8. Scott David and Ash Pirayou from Crown Castle International gave a presentation`regarding the potential contract with the City of Cupertino to provide better cell phonc`coverage from all cell carriers by promoting the build-out of cell infrastructure that will best serve the whole city. The TICC expressed particular concern about the exclusivity aspects of the contract with respect to technologies other than today's cell phones that might he deployed on city property.
