Dear Honorable Mayor Wong and City Council Members,
We, the Teen Commission, have compiled a recommended list of characteristics that we feel new
members of our commission should possess. We believe the commission’s work plan would benefit
greatly if the future members possessed these characteristics.
We have discussed at great length how each characteristic will help the commission to perform at its
maximum capacity. Ideally, future commissioners would possess these attributes:
Responsible
Dedicated, reliable and hard working
Creative
Friendly, open-minded and fun
Unique
Different, flexible and opinionated
Respectful
Charismatic and charming
Professional
Communication and commitment
For the reasons listed above, we the Teen Commission, agree that the most desirable
characteristics are responsibility, creativity, uniqueness, respectful and professionalism. To better
strengthen and support our role in Cupertino, we feel individuals with these characteristics, along with the
ability to listen to the community, would be an asset to the Teen Commission. We thank you for reading
and considering our request.
On behalf of the entire Teen Commission
Kind regards,
Celine Mol
Cupertino Teen Commission Chair
