CALL MEETING TO ORDER
Commissioner Iimura called the meeting to order at 7:07 PM

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. Commissioner Siegel made a motion to approve the April 2nd minutes. Commissioner Livingood
seconded the.motion. Vote 3-0

2. This portion of the meeting is reserved for persons wishing to address the commission on any
matter not on the agenda. Speakers are limited to three (3) minutes a person. In most cases, state
law will prohibit the commission from making; any decisions with respect to a matter not listed on
the agenda.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS
3. The Climate Action Plan Workshops brochure was reviewed. Commissioner Iimura will attend.
OLD BUSINESS
4. VOIP discussion. Basically there was no discussion because there was no input in the meeting
packet.
5. Fiber optic cable infrastructure discussion. Information was obtained that AT&T has been
systematically installing fiber to all commercial buildings through 2020. They are starting with
buildings that have 6 or more tenants in the Bay Area and have completed about 3,300 buildings
so far. The symmetric service is sold by bandwidth l OMb, 20Mb, 30Mb, 50Mb and 100Mb/sec.
The price is quite expensive; the l OMb service is $600/mo and includes 23 lines of phone service
provisioned by PRI or SIP only. Unlimited local calls and 6,900 minutes of domestic long
distance are included. Commissioner Iimura will be looking into how much of the installation has
taken place in Cupertino.
NEW BUSINESS:
REPORTS
6. The April Mayor's meeting was attended by the following commissions: Bicycle, Housing, Parks
and Rec, Public Safety, Teen and Fine Arts as well as TICC. Among the topics discussed were
$1500 for a flood alert signup drive in June and a Dam drill in October. Also the mixed use
proposal for the Valero gas station
MISCELLANEOUS
7. Activities Calendar reviewed. The TICC calendar still shows that the July meeting is on 7/2 but
the meeting was officially changed at the April 2"d meeting to Wed. July 91n
ADJOURNMENT
Commissioner Livingood moved for adjournment. Commissioner Siegel seconded the motion.
